6God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the water, that it may separate water from water.” 7God made the expanse, and it separated the water which was below the expanse from the water which was above the expanse. And it was so. 8God called the expanse Sky [heaven]. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day. 9God said, “Let the water below the sky [heaven] be gathered into one area, that the dry land may appear.”     Genesis 1/6-9 Tanakh JPS 1985.

21Then Moses held out his arm over the sea and the Lord drove back the sea with a strong east wind all that night, and turned the sea into dry ground. The waters were split, 22and the Israelites went into the sea on dry ground, the waters forming a wall for them on their right and on their left.     Exodus 14/21-22 Tanakh JPS 1985.

16the waters coming down from upstream piled up in a single heap a great way off, at Adam, the town next to Zarethan; and those flowing away downstream to the Sea of the Arabah (the Dead Sea) ran out completely. So the people crossed near Jericho. 17The priests who bore the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant stood on dry land exactly in the middle of the Jordan, while all Israel crossed over on dry land, until the entire nation had finished crossing the Jordan.     Joshua 3/16-17 Tanakh JPS 1985.

8Thereupon Elijah took his mantle and, rolling it up, he struck the water; it divided to the right and left, so that the two of them crossed over on dry land.     2 Kings 2/8 Tanakh JPS 1985.

22For as the new heaven and the new earth
Which I will make
Shall endure by My will
—declares the Lord—
So shall your seed and your name endure.     Isaiah 66/22 Tanakh JPS 1985.

17For behold! I am creating
A new heaven and a new earth;
The former things shall not be remembered,
They shall never come to mind.
18Be glad, then, and rejoice forever
In what I am creating.
For I shall create Jerusalem as a joy,
And her people as a delight;     Isaiah 65/17-18 Tanakh JPS 1985.

1Behold, I am sending My messenger to clear the way before Me, and the Lord whom you seek shall come to His Temple suddenly. As for the angel of the covenant that you desire, he is already coming.     Malachi 3/1 Tanakh JPS 1985.

31See, a time is coming—declares the Lord—when I will make a new covenant with the House of Israel and the House of Judah.     Jeremiah 31/31 Tanakh JPS 1985.

34No longer will they need to teach one another and say to one another, “Heed the Lord“; for all of them, from the least of them to the greatest, shall heed Me—declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquities, And remember their sins no more.     Jeremiah 31/34 Tanakh JPS 1985.

23Lo, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before the coming of the awesome, fearful day of the Lord.     Malachi 3/23 Tanakh JPS 1985.

Commentary:

G-d said “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the water, that it may separate water from water.” G-d made the expanse, and it separated the water which was below the expanse from the water which was above the expanse. And it was so. G-d called the expanse Sky [heaven]. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day. G-d said, “Let the water below the sky [heaven] be gathered into one area, that the dry land may appear.”

This verse associates “waters” of the unseen realm of G-d with the waters of the earth and “dry land” with heaven.

In the Book of Exodus Moses held out his arm over the sea and the L-rd drove back the sea with a strong east wind all that night, and turned the sea into dry ground. The waters were split, and the Israelites went into the sea on dry ground, the waters forming a wall for them on their right and on their left.

In the Book of Joshua when Joshua and the children of Israel brought the Ark of the Covenant to the Jordan, waters coming down from upstream piled up in a single heap a great way off and the priests who bore the Ark of the L-rd’s Covenant stood on dry land exactly in the middle of the Jordan, while all Israel crossed over on dry land.

In the Book of 2 Kings when Elijah was to be taken by G-d to heaven in a Whirlwind, and he and Elisha came to the Jordan Elijah took his mantle and, rolling it up, he struck the water; it divided to the right and left, so that the two of them crossed over on dry land.

The children of Israel who are the Jewish people are symbolically revealed to enter heaven from their bondage (the Exodus), the carrying of G-d’s word (the Ark) on earth, and being lifted up to G-d by his spirit (the Whirlwind).

There is no water in heaven which divides the waters from the waters.

G-d says He is creating a new heaven and a new earth. The new earth will be just as this earth is when this earth is no more when the final judgement of entry to heaven is made by the creator who holds the souls of all men in His hand. The new heaven where the seed and name of Israel shall endure that G-d calls Jerusalem.

I am the man described in Isaiah 11 and 53 and the L-rd and the person of the L-rd’s spirit dwell with me. They are always with me. Many years ago G-d began teaching me matters of creation from his perspective. The unseen realm was always there and then within it G-d created the universe, earth and humanity.

He did it for Himself and for the person of His spirit who is the first person G-d created. The person of His spirit is the angel of His Presence, the angel that G-d sent before the Israelites in the Exodus and he is the angel of the covenant of sin forgiveness of the Jewish people sent with Elijah before the awesome, fearful day of the L-rd.

G-d is quite pleased with creation. It is perfect for creating a new heaven of angelic human spirit persons. A new heaven by the addition of a new host of angels.

The angels Israel whose name shall endure.
