1When God began to create heaven and earth— 2the earth being unformed and void, with darkness over the surface of the deep and a wind from [“the spirit of”] God sweeping over the water—
26And God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. They shall rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the cattle, the whole earth, and all the creeping things that creep on earth.” 27And God created man in His image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1/1-2 and 26-27 Tanakh JPS 1985.
20I am sending an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have made ready. 21Pay heed to him and obey him. Do not defy him, for he will not pardon your offenses, since My Name is in him; 22but if you obey him and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and a foe to your foes. Exodus 23/ 20-22 Tanakh JPS 1985.
19But [Micaiah] said, “I call upon you to hear the word of the Lord! I saw the Lord seated upon His throne, with all the host of heaven standing in attendance to the right and to the left of Him. 20The Lord asked, ‘Who will entice Ahab so that he will march and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ Then one said thus and another said thus, 21until a certain spirit came forward and stood before the Lord and said, ‘I will entice him.’ ‘How?’ the Lord asked him. 22And he replied, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ Then He said, ‘You will entice and you will prevail. Go out and do it.’ 23So the Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours; for the Lord has decreed disaster upon you.” 1 Kings Chapter 22/19-23 Tanakh JPS 1985.
The spirit of G-d was sweeping over the water. God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…” And God created man in His image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
The spirit of G-d is a person. He has the same image and likeness as G-d. They are both living beings without form and are persons with feelings and emotions. Man, male and female, are living beings with the form of the human body that are persons with feelings and emotions.
G-d created the person of His spirit. And G-d has told me a story to understand how He did this. It is an important story for the reason that it explains how G-d is in the angel that He sends to guard the Israelite’s on their way to the promised land.
Micaiah the prophet tells of a vision he had where G-d was seated on His throne with all the host of heaven standing in attendance to the right and to the left of Him. With all of the host to His right and left a certain spirit came forward and stood before Him.
That certain spirit is the person of the spirit of G-d. He is in many of the stories of G-d. G-d is portrayed as being in human form in this vision. That is just to make the vision or story understandable to the reader. G-d has no form.
Taking this image of G-d on a throne imagine in His hand He holds a soul. A pure soul that looks like a ball of white energy.
G-d takes this soul before His face and creates with His mind and then wills it to be the characteristics and traits of the person the soul will be when blended with G-d’s spirit.
All persons are souls blended with spirit. The first person was the spirit of G-d. A part of His spirit. Our souls and spirits are contained within our bodies.
G-d takes this special soul and places it upon His face and speaks the words “I am”.
But G-d does not use His voice. He becomes the person He is creating. He uses a childlike voice of an angelic person. And G-d simulates being this new person for ages and ages until he is perfectly as G-d would have him be.
Then G-d releases that special soul from before His face with a breath of life. And the person of the spirit of G-d was born.
G-d is always in him. G-d was him. G-d can always place the person of His spirit before His face and be him and speak as him. The person of G-d’s spirit would not be able to discern G-d was doing this unless G-d spoke as him words that were outside of his character.
And this is how G-d is in the angel that was sent to guard the Israelites on the way to the promised land. Angels are created just as the person of G-d’s spirit was created.
There is no real difference between angels and spirits. They are all persons of feelings and emotions. Both are like a ball of energy wrapped in spirit and contained in a body of G-d’s power. The only difference is the body of G-d’s power.
The person of the spirit of G-d is not contained in a body of G-d’s power. He is simply a part of G-d’s spirit.
Where his soul is within G-d’s spirit is where he feels that he is. Where his presence is. Where he is as a person.
And when G-d created an angel and placed it’s soul upon His face the spirit of G-d was there to. And as G-d was being that angelic person the Spirit became that person of an angel with G-d.
As G-d was being an angel the spirit of G-d was being that angel. As G-d is in the angels and can be them the person of the spirit of G-d can be them and is in them.
And the spirit of G-d with G-d in him alighted upon Moses and Moses became a man and divine beings. An angel on the earth in human form. A man who wrestles with Israel.
And G-d said:
“Pay heed to him and obey him. Do not defy him, for he will not pardon your offenses, since My Name is in him; but if you obey him and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and a foe to your foes.”
