From: “MY Midrash” written by Rabbi Tovia Singer and posted on his Facebook page. (excerpt):

“53:10 “HaShem desired to oppress him and He afflicted him; if his soul would acknowledge guilt, he would see offspring and live long days and the desire of HaShem would succeed in his hand.”

53:10 “But the LORD chose to crush him by disease, that, if he made himself an offering for guilt, he might see offspring and have long life, and that through him the LORD’S purpose might prosper.” (JPS 1985).

“Not only are we stuck with the same G-d punish G-d situation here as we were before but this one is even more perplexing. Yeshua was supposed to be the sinless, unblemished lamb that died for your sins on the cross and yet it states right here that if he would have acknowledged his guilt, he would see offspring and live long days. The JPS rendering gives a little different twist to an already sticky situation. It says (if this were referring to Yeshua) that the L-rd chose to crush him by disease. I don’t know if you can classify a cross as a disease or not but I don’t think hanging and being crushed are the same thing either. In fact, according to John’s gospel, not a single bone of Yeshua’s body was broken. Of course this was stated so he could be equated with the Passover lamb and John is the only one that compares Yeshua to the Passover lamb. But how could this be speaking about ETERNAL Israel? Very easily. The offering of guilt in this verse is actually literally translated as guilt-offering. The significance between the guilt-offering and the Holocaust is so astounding, even as grotesque of a thought as it was, I could not over look it. A guilt-offering is defined in Leviticus chapter 7 and goes something like this. The guilt-offering is a fire-offering in which all the parts are to go up in smoke and the hide belongs to the one making the offering. I mentioned before that during the Holocaust Hitler not only burned Jews in the ovens of Auschwitz but he also used their skins as lamp shades and their hair as stuffing for pillows. He sacrificed these people on the alters of ovens and kept their hides as his portion but not until he worked and starved them to death. So after the atrocities of WWII the L-RD’S purpose has prospered because the land that was sworn to us is once again being inhabited by its rightful owners and is awaiting the final ingathering.”

4For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:     Hebrews 10/4-10 and 19-20 and 28 Holy Bible KJV.

Commentary:

Rabbi Tovia Singer’s interpretation of a guilt offering is that Hitler made a guilt offering of six million Jewish people to HaShem using the animal sacrificial atonement and worship laws of the Torah. That G-d crushed the Jewish people so that they all as one man would offer their souls and themselves to HaShem for Hitler to make them an animal guilt offering to G-d and force the Jewish people to return to HaShem in Israel.

Rabbi Tovia Singer teaches that the Jewish people are G-d’s righteous servant of Isaiah 53. That the Jewish people are crushed by G-d so that they offer themselves for guilt to Him. None of the murdered Jewish people of the holocaust offered themselves to HaShem as animal guilt sacrifices for Hitler to kill and burn. In this interpretation Hitler makes the guilt sacrifice and six million murdered Jewish people are the animal.

G-d did not crush the Jewish people so that Hitler would make millions of humans a guilt sacrifice to G-d for the purpose of having the Jewish people return to Him in the land He gave them. G-d hates human sacrifice and the sacrifice would have been to the benefit of Hitler. Hitler made the guilt offering sacrifice using Jewish people. G-d ended the animal sacrificial atonement and worship laws in the Tanakh through His prophets (though the people continued doing so angering Him) and it could have never been used for humans as the animal.

That is also what the Christians did saying Jesus was the lamb of G-d and Jesus saying G-d had prepared his body to replace bulls and goats as sin offerings in the book of Hebrews.

For the people Israel to be the man described in Isaiah 53 all of the Jewish people as one have to be crushed by G-d so that all of the Jewish people as one offer themselves for guilt to G-d. That has never happened and there is every reason to believe it never will. The Jewish people agreed as one only one time in history and that was at the giving of the Torah. That event cannot be recreated for many reasons.

This interpretation of an offering for guilt shows why using the animal sacrificial atonement and worship laws of the Torah to explain what is meant by a man offering himself for guilt to G-d does not work. This interpretation requires human sacrifice. The Christians did the same thing using Jesus as the animal and the Romans as Hitler. The Romans (or Jews according to the writings of the New Testament) made the offering of a human life for their benefit.

G-d does not sacrifice humans much less his sons and daughters or crush them so that they will make themselves end their own lives as a guilt sacrifice or as guilt and sin for others or have others do it for them.

Everyone who has ever interpreted Isaiah 53 as being a human sacrifice completely fails the test G-d set before all people. Do you know G-d and His laws. If you do, you know that a man offering himself for guilt to G-d does not mean a human sacrifice and that no man dies for the guilt and sin of others.

There has to be another interpretation. And there is. It is in these writings.
