1So Israel set out with all that was his, and he came to Beer-sheba, where he offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac. 2God called to Israel in a vision by night: “Jacob! Jacob!” He answered, “Here.” 3And He said, “I am God, the God of your father. Fear not to go down to Egypt, for I will make you there into a great nation. 4I Myself will go down with you to Egypt, and I Myself will also bring you back; and Joseph’s hand shall close your eyes.”     Genesis 46/1-4 Tanakh JPS 1985.

23A long time after that, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites were groaning under the bondage and cried out; and their cry for help from the bondage rose up to God. 24God heard their moaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob. 25God looked upon the Israelites, and God took notice of them.     Exodus 2/23-25 Tanakh JPS 1985.

15You shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth—I will be with you and with him as you speak, and tell both of you what to do— 16and he shall speak for you to the people. Thus he shall serve as your spokesman, with you playing the role of God to him, ”.     Exodus 4/12-16 Tanakh JPS 1985.

1The Lord replied to Moses, “See, I place you in the role of God to Pharaoh, with your brother Aaron as your prophet. 2You shall repeat all that I command you, and your brother Aaron shall speak to Pharaoh to let the Israelites depart from his land.     Exodus 7/1-2 Tanakh JPS 1985.

34No longer will they need to teach one another and say to one another, “Heed the Lord“; for all of them, from the least of them to the greatest, shall heed Me—declares the Lord.
For I will forgive their iniquities,
And remember their sins no more.     Jeremiah 31/34 Tanakh JPS 1985.

1Behold, I am sending My messenger to clear the way before Me, and the Lord whom you seek shall come to His Temple suddenly. As for the angel of the covenant that you desire, he is already coming.     Malachi 3/1 Tanakh JPS 1985.

Commentary:

G-d is speaking in a vision to Jacob and He says “I am God, the God of your father. Fear not to go down to Egypt, for I will make you there into a great nation. I Myself will go down with you to Egypt, and I Myself will also bring you back; and Joseph’s hand shall close your eyes.”

G-d’s presence was with Jacob on the journey to Egypt. G-d brings Israel back led by Moses. G-d makes Israel a great nation in Egypt but He is not there with them.

G-d knows that suffering makes Israel a great nation. This suffering made the Jewish people worthy of His Torah that he gave them at Sinai. That is where their suffering in slavery was rewarded and the Torah made Israel a great nation.

By receiving the Torah and being G-d’s chosen people the people Israel have endured greater suffering than slavery in and from the world for thousands of years.

And the reward for that is just beginning. The redemption has begun. Elijah is here.

And I herald the time of the new covenant of the forgiveness of all the sins of the Jewish people declared by G-d in Jeremiah 31/34. It is for the building of the third Temple so that G-d may return to it quickly as G-d declared in Malachi 3/1. The time of Elijah. A time when there is no temple and the Holy children of G-d are to rebuild it for His presence to dwell on earth evermore.

No man alone can do this. But G-d can take a man and do this. A man with a cleansed spirit and tempered soul who no longer has self will and speaks to G-d face to face.

The man who offered his self and soul to G-d described in Isaiah 53 who is given long life for the prosperity of G-d’s purpose of redeeming the Jewish people in the end times.

Elijah, who is the descendant of David and the prophet like Moses. G-d’s righteous servant of Isaiah 53. The HaMoshiach.
