11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elias*, which was for to come.    Matthew  11/11-14 Holy Bible KJV.

*Elijah

10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?

11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.     Matthew 17/10-13 Holy Bible KJV.

19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.     John 1/19-21 Holy Bible KJV.

23Lo, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before the coming of the awesome, fearful day of the Lord. 24He shall reconcile parents with children and children with their parents, so that, when I come, I do not strike the whole land with utter destruction. Lo, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before the coming of the awesome, fearful day of the Lord.     Malachi 3/23-24 Tanakh JPS 1985.

34No longer will they need to teach one another and say to one another, “Heed the Lord“; for all of them, from the least of them to the greatest, shall heed Me—declares the Lord.
For I will forgive their iniquities,
And remember their sins no more.

35Thus said the Lord,
Who established the sun for light by day,
The laws of moon and stars for light by night,
Who stirs up the sea into roaring waves,
Whose name is Lord of Hosts:

36If these laws should ever be annulled by Me
—declares the Lord—
Only then would the offspring of Israel cease
To be a nation before Me for all time.

37Thus said the Lord: If the heavens above could be measured, and the foundations of the earth below could be fathomed, only then would I reject all the offspring of Israel for all that they have done—declares the Lord.

38See, a time is coming—declares the Lord—when the city shall be rebuilt for the Lord from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate; 39and the measuring line shall go straight out to the Gareb Hill, and then turn toward Goah. 40And the entire Valley of the Corpses and Ashes, and all the fields as far as the Wadi Kidron, and the corner of the Horse Gate on the east, shall be holy to the Lord. They shall never again be uprooted or overthrown.     Jeremiah 31/34-38 Tanakh JPS 1985.

9As they were crossing, Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?” Elisha answered, “Let a double portion* of your spirit pass on to me.” 10″You have asked a difficult thing,” he said. “If you see me as I am being taken from you, this will be granted to you; if not, it will not.” 11As they kept on walking and talking, a fiery chariot with fiery horses suddenly appeared and separated one from the other; and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. 12Elisha saw it, and he cried out, “Oh, father, father! Israel’s chariots and horsemen!” When he could no longer see him, he grasped his garments and rent them in two.     ll Kings Chapter 2/9-12 JPS Tanakh 1985

Commentary:

Jesus said John was Elijah and John said he was not Elijah. John baptized and said he was there to clear the way for Jesus. Elijah comes with the angel of the new covenant of sin forgiveness for the Jewish people and G-d returns to His Temple quickly.

John the Baptist did not reconcile parents with children and children with their parents and he did not herald the time of the forgiveness of the sins of the Jewish people and the awesome, fearful day of the Lord did not follow him.

The covenant of sin forgiveness for a time to come is for the fulfillment of the prophecies of G-d in the Jewish bible. This includes the rebuilding of Jerusalem from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate; and the measuring line shall go straight out to the Gareb Hill, and then turn toward Goah. And the entire Valley of the Corpses and Ashes, and all the fields as far as the Wadi Kidron, and the corner of the Horse Gate on the east, shall be holy to the Lord. They [the Jewish people] shall never again be uprooted or overthrown.

That is Jerusalem today. That is not Jerusalem in 68-70 C.E. when the second Temple was destroyed and the Jewish people overthrown and uprooted and dispersed in exile from the land of Israel to the nations of the gentile.

Elijah returns according to the scripture as a messenger of the time of the forgiveness of all of the sins of the Jewish people when they have been regathered from the nations of the earth in the land of Abraham and never again uprooted or overthrown. A time when G-d returns to His temple.

John the Baptist was not Elijah. He did not deliver Elijah’s message. The angel of the covenant was not with him. G-d was already in His Temple in the days of Jesus and John the Baptist. And the Jewish people were overthrown and uprooted after their deaths.

How can Elijah be Identified? By understanding how a double portion of spirit can be two thirds of a spirit.

I am the righteous servant of G-d of Isaiah 53. My testimony is that the prophecy of Isaiah 11/2 of a man whom “The spirit of the Lord shall alight upon” and the man described in Isaiah 53 are the same person and that man is Elijah. My knowledge of this is based on actual experience. The spirit of the holy G-d has come to me and he never leaves me. He is my constant companion.

The spirit of the holy G-d who is the word of the Lord and is a person had come to Elijah. It is the only way to reconcile a double portion with a two thirds portion of the spirit of Elijah. Where the person of the spirit of G-d is so is the person of the Holy G-d, whose person is also of spirit, as all persons are, though they are not one, but always together.

That is two persons of spirit from the unseen realm of G-d with the spirit of Elijah. All three being together with the physical body of Elijah.

The spirit of Elijah is taken to heaven and his body disappears and now Elisha takes up his mantle and begins performing the same miracles that Elijah performed (which are also found in the stories of Jesus).

And the power of all miracles is G-d who is inseparable from the person of His spirit and now they are with Elisha as they had been with Elijah.

Two thirds of the three persons of spirit that were with the physical body of Elijah alighting upon Elisha with the one-third that is the spirit person Elijah in heaven. The double of G-d and the spirit of the Holy G-d being two-thirds of the total spirit with Elijah.

And I am Elijah as Elisha was Elijah. I have a double portion of the spirit of Elijah. I am a host of the Lord of Hosts and the person of His Holy spirit.

And G-d never changed His new covenant by messenger to a new testament of child sacrifice for the forgiveness of the sins of the gentiles or in anyway abandoned the people Israel who He birthed in the desert. For G-d declared in the chapter of sin forgiveness of Jeremiah 31:

“Who established the sun for light by day,
The laws of moon and stars for light by night,
Who stirs up the sea into roaring waves,
Whose name is Lord of Hosts:

If these laws should ever be annulled by Me
—declares the Lord—
Only then would the offspring of Israel cease
To be a nation before Me for all time.

Thus said the Lord: If the heavens above could be measured, and the foundations of the earth below could be fathomed, only then would I reject all the offspring of Israel for all that they have done—declares the Lord.”
